my tattoo preferences

I love tattooing the following:

Fine line script

Smaller pieces with precise line work

Smaller detailed pieces

Handwriting

Flash Pieces

I prefer to work on pieces under 6", but please still reach out if you are wanting something bigger!

I am always interested in other ideas and things out of my “comfort zone”. Some of my favorite pieces have come from them!

Please reach out with any ideas you have. I’m always honest if it’s something out of my line of work or my interest, I’d much rather have you get it from an artist who specializes in your design ideas!

I’m a sucker for a nice black ink tattoo. BUT, I will work in various colors in the following ways:

Colored line work & script

Solid fill on smaller pieces

’Pops’ of different colors in a single piece

Simple shading

I do not offer full color ‘realism’ pieces.

I will not tattoo the following places:

Faces

Heads

Palms/between fingers

Feet

Lips/Mouth

Eyes

I do have a smaller studio space so please limit any additional guests to 4 max. (2 comfy chairs, 2 stools/folding chairs)

Please inform me ahead of time if you will be bringing anyone under the age of 8.

preparing for your appointment

Hydrated skin allows for the best results. Keep the area moisturized and drink plenty of water in the week prior to your appointment.

Make sure to eat at least 2 hours before your appointment.

Avoid consuming alcohol, recreational or illegal substances, caffeine, and blood thinners 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Come to your appointment well rested.

Dress for your tattoo. Wear loose, dark clothing according to your tattoo placement.

Feel free to bring things from home to make yourself more comfortable during your appointment. The building often runs on the colder side so you can bring a blanket/jacket/etc as long as it does not get in the way of tattooing.

tattoo aftercare

Leave the aftercare bandage on for 3-5 days

It is normal for there to be a ‘sac’ with blood/ink/plasma under the bandage. This may also cause for lines to appear blurry or uneven.

Avoid excessive sweating while the bandage is on.

To remove, carefully pull off the bandage by lifting a corner/edge and pulling straight outward like removing a command strip, or by pulling the bandage down and away. I recommend doing so under warm water.

Once removed, rinse your new tattoo under warm water. With clean hands, use antibacterial, non-scented soap to clean the area. rinse, then pat dry with a paper towel. Apply a THIN layer of unscented lotion or ointment to moisturize the area.

I recommend using mad rabbit’s unscented balm stick, hustle butter, or lubriderm lotion.

Continue cleaning and moisturizing the tattoo for the next 2 weeks, during this time, you should also avoid:

• submerging/soaking the tattoo in water or using saunas

• exfoliating, scratching, rubbing, scrubbing

• self tans and harsh skincare

• direct sunlight and tanning beds

After 4-5 weeks, your tattoo should be fully healed. If you feel that a touch up is needed after this time, please submit a touch up request form and I will reach out to get you scheduled.

Continue to care for your tattoo by moisturizing and protecting with SPF

need a touch-up?

I am a very light-handed artist. I would much rather have you come back for a touch-up due to fading or fall-out than to leave you with a blown-out piece of sadness. Due to this, some of my work may require a touch-up!

I offer one free touch-up on each tattoo - these can be scheduled after a minimum of 4 weeks from your original appointment.

If for any reason - such as lack of aftercare or carelessness (yes, we can tell) - you need an additional touch-up on your tattoo, I will need to charge at least 50% of your original tattoo quote - a minimum amount of $30 - to cover the cost of materials.

Depending on the area tattooed, more than one touch-up may be needed. I will make sure you are aware of this in advance.

If you need a touch up and are also planning on getting a new tattoo, please only schedule for a new appointment, then include in your messages that you would also like a touch up.

will I touch up other artist's work?

For the time being, I am willing to touch up work done by another artist.

This will be done on a case-by-case basis.

If you are looking to get something touched up or re-worked, please book for a new tattoo. You will need to text or email me with photos of your current tattoo - lighting and angles are crucial.

Include an explanation of how you would like it re-worked - ideas, inspo, if I have creative freedom on the price, or if you just want the line work touched up.

I will consider:

Touching up lines pieces

Adding on to existing tattoos that fit my style and expertise.

Touch up pricing will not differ from my regular pricing scale.

Touch ups on work not done by me must be scheduled as a new tattoo, not a touch up appointment.

I will not be taking on larger tattoos or anything that requires excessive shading or color packing.
